Tyler Alexander is the starter for the Gigantes del Cibao, winners of the regular season (23-17), in the continuation of the Dominican Professional Winter Baseball Championship. The 18-game round robin starts on Monday, 27 December 2021 with the Gigantes matching the Aguilas in San Francisco de Macorís at 7pm and the Licey matching the Estrellas Orientales in Santo Domingo.

The four teams playing in the semi-finals are the Gigantes, Aguilas Cibaeñas, Tigres del Licey and Estrellas Orientales.

El Dia newspaper called the Gigantes del Cibao the favorites to win the round robin. Each team will play 18 games, including nine games at the the home stadium.

How long has he been in DR? Was he at an academy or just brought there recently to be signed? Mr AE tells me 16 yr olds can be signed in DR but they can’t play in MLB until they’re 18.
