Many people don't know this, particularly those that don't play golf, but there are certain particularities that are present in playing golf in a Dominican golf course with Dominican players that are considered a sin in the golf course of many other countries.

For example, did you know that in Dominican golf courses music is allowed in the carts and often Dominican golf players play music not just while riding from one hole to another, but also while playing?

Did you know it's allowed for players to smoke cigars and/or drink rum/scotch/etc in many Dominican golf courses while playing?

What are the things allowed in Dominican golf courses that generally aren't allowed in golf courses in other countries (particularly in North America and Europe)?

Did you know that while in the DR there is the notion this golf is a sport for the rich, in reality many Dominican golf courses are actually cheaper than playing some other sports such as bowling?

All of the above are done on the regular on N.A courses. The only that that bothers me is some slug talking on the phone for an entire round and his phone ringing. Taking calls from his wife etc.

You can smoke cigars, drink rum, etc in USA courses all over the place. That's whats on the cart girls carts.

DR Golf cheaper than bowling is a complete lie.

The only bowling alley in SD prices - Sebelen Bowling SD

Not sure how others in the DR see this year's coverage of The Masters but ESPN+ can screw up every sporting event it covers.
Bring back CBS !

I love golfing in the DR. The couses I have played are always in very good to excellent condition. The prices are far better than Canada with a DR golf card. The beer cart comes by frequently and is usually included with the green fee at some courses.

Besides bowling is a couch potatoe activity. With all good conscience I cannot and will not call it a sport. But you can do it with goofier clothing than golf. Sweat pants, dirty tee shirt and rented used shoes. No thanks

If you can get ESPN 2 the Spanish ESPN they have better coverage than the US networks. Almost devoid of commercials too. But right now play is suspended due to weather............

Some people don’t consider golf a sports either, but it was recently added to the Olympic games again. At least according to here:

March 16, 2023

Ironically, the reason he went to the radio show was because in a previous radio show the conclusion was that golf isn’t a sport, he was listening to that show and couldn’t let it go. lol

I have been golfing with colleagues and friends for 25 years. I can only imagine what they would say if I suggested bowling.

I was going to suggest this for viewing golf , but then realized they must not consider golf to be a sport:

some do not like golf for sure. They should stick to dominos, cooking souffle's and playing keyboards.

I was just trying to find out where golf was cheaper in the DR than bowling is.
I have nothing against the golf.

Congratulations and many thanks to Jon Rahm, the 2023 Masters Champion.
The PGA thanks him too.
