I was quoted $2600.00 installed in March 2014. They have come down because I heard they were 5k, just a few years ago.
Jim uses one and he claims it runs for 12-13 hours with the solar panels and unlike your pool water, his is "crystal clear."

Remember this is not Canada and I also doubt you can see my pool from Canada.

CB, regarding adding DE to the filter. That was recommended by a local pool company here. I tried it a couple of times, but the DE just came straight through the filter and I had to vacuum it to waste. And yes there is a drought in the DR.
