President in Quito to attend regional heads of government meeting

The Presidency reported President Luis Abinader flew to Quito, Ecuador on Sunday, 5 March 2023 to attend the fourth meeting of heads of state members of the Alliance for Development in Democracy (ADD). The members of the alliance are Ecuador, Costa Rica, Panama and the Dominican Republic. Abinader is scheduled to return Monday evening.

President Abinader traveled with First Lady Raquel Arbaje. Also on the mission were: Foreign Minister Roberto Álvarez, and the Administrative Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza. Also, on the official delegation was Presidential Security Corps (CUSEP), Jimmy Arias Grullón, and presidential personal assistant, Mercedes Pichardo.
