Price for deslinde?

Hello,

I have been asked 2500 US$ for a deslinde for our lot of 3000 sqm, including measuring and GPS-points and all paperwork.

I found two posts here which seem to confirm that this price is realistic.

However I wonder if this is not just the "gringo-price". How will the average dominican, who buys a 200 sqm lot pay such an amout only for the deslinde?

And: Is it correct, that after April it will be much more complicating (newspaper ads etc.) and therefore much more expensive to get a deslinde? To do it before April will be quite difficult for me as I am presently not in the DR.

Prices for "deslindes" have skyrocketed in the last year due to high demand and the new surveying regulations which instituted GPS measurements.

The new land registration law makes it mandatory to have a deslinde on every property. Beginning next April, Registrars of Titles will not record sales of properties without deslindes.

Can you confirm that the procedure to obtain a desline will be more complicating and therefore (possibly) more expensive after april 2009?
