So I guess around $80 US in a non gated community. The $130 or higher would be for a gated community, I assume....
I would be happy with a 10 minute car ride to the beach. Close to highway 5. Cupey would be to high up for me.
$80 per square meter in La Mulatta is not bad.

That death in Perla Marina does not sound like a suicide. I guess they just want to close the case.

Hola,

What should one expect to be the price per meter square of land? This would in a sought out area like Playa Dorada or Casa Linda? I think Cabarete would be way more....
This would be an investment property to probably flip later or build if cost drop a little. Housing materials keep rising....

I am thinking around $130 U.S. dollars per meter.

Gracias in advance.
Lol, that will be so different all over the North Coast. I mean only here in Puerto Plata for example (not taking into account the gated communities), the price of for example in jardines del atlantico (close to the Malecon) is at least 3 or 4 times higher than in for example cero alta. Let alone that you have to compare with other towns/cities, you will get a 100 different prices.

I remember years ago seeing beautiful homes abandoned on the way to el cupey after home invasions .
Near me an armed home invasion last week. They took a worker sleeping there hostage. ..
Buying property in isolated areas is not a good idea. You need neighbors .

there is crime all over the sosua el batey area. 1 person get killed and 1 get seriously hurt in panorama village a few years back.
hmm nobody talks about not to buy a house there. And I know what is coming now. panorama village is very close to la mulata the robbers must come from la mulata. but the security guard in panorama village was right there at the house and it didn't helped.
i remember when a german guy\s cut up body found in el batey in a garbage bin, or a real estate agents body found in an empty apartment at ecuentro beach. costa azul lots of robberies all the time, but nobody talks about those areas
people are closed minded and very easily influenced about la mulata. and nobody tells if it's in la mulata 1 2 or 3

La Mulata 1,2 or 3?
Anonymous?
There is a good reason you don't have to wait long for that to happen.

In my opinion there are a couple people on DR1 who absolutely hate La Mulata. I don't know why, they might have bad experience there, but all I'm trying to say is that many other places in the sosua area has robberies and killings. But for some reason nobody talks againts those areas. I don't understand why? And I also find it unfair.

What’s that reason Windy?
Yes I would like to know the reason behind the hate towards La Mulata.
And I am asking about which area in La Mulata 1, 2 or 3. And nobody answers that.
In my believe that it is more La Mulata 1.
But like I said any other gated communities like Panorama Village, Costa Azul, and now Perla Marina bad things happen. Just because it is a gated community it doesn't mean that its safe. You have a gate up front but all the sides are only protected with barbwires. And you have to pay a lot of monthly fee in those places.
Condos in el batey propably the safest places to live, but only if the person doesn't take too many visitors in all the time.
You know i am just thinking those people who are always talking badly about La Mulata might be working in Casa Linda or Hispanola. They might be real estate agents for those areas. So because they have no interest in La Mulata they don't have houses to sell there they just saying all these things so all the new expats get scared and buying from them instead.

When I moved here, no realtor would show me property in La Mulata. My soon to be wife who lived in Cabarete refused to consider a place in La Mulata. I have known people that lived there after moving from another part of the North Coast and they would not tell me why they left La Mulata as quickly as possible after recognizing their error.

In other words, La Mulata has a terrible reputation. So bad that it could not have happened without good reasons.

That is my story and I am sticking to it.

Trying to make so Sosua looks bad? In the area where I live in NC the Police department Durham city offered a $10.k dollars bono to those who wants to enroll as nobody wants to be a police officer in the area, same another's county where the whole department quit.

Why more than half the houses in Perla Marina have "For sale" signs?
