We eat a lot of fish in our household. Three times a week, at least, just at home and more when we go to a restaurant.Up until 8-9 months ago I bought our fish in Juan Dolio and Guyacanes from the local fish stores. I was never really happy with the storage, cleanliness, and age of the fish until I was introduced to Price Smart. I was familiar with this type of store having come from NA and Costco. There are problems of course with buying a 12 pck of ketchup or 50cans of tuna at one time but this year I really think we found the best routine for us.
Since the price and variety is outstanding on fish at Price Smart we buy 2-3 weeks of fish there. Big variety, well packaged and priced fair.
We then move on down the road and buy at Bravo. In the meantime ,weekly we alway need to fill in at the local mini-market closest to home.
BTW Price Smart big box items are priced very competitive.
