Puerto Plata - Río San Juan highway expansion

The grand plans come to fruition in Santo Domingo and Punta Cana. The north coast is now the bastard child of the DR. Little that is promised for here will ever actually happen. Two years to just rebuild a bridge on the main highway. God knows how many years it will take to finish the plazas on Sosua Beach, etc.

And there were those of us who had hopes the announcement about improving the beach, getting rid of the shacks, a new bridge, Brigantin were a new beginning for the North coast and Puerto Plata.
All we've really gotten is a lot of cruise ship visits with people who spend a few dollars on souvenirs and perhaps a plate of local food.
