Hey everyone I'm planning a trip to DR and I need some feedback on where to go for the best nightlife experience. I'm a young guy in my 20s and single. I also would like the opportunity to meet some locals too! Where do all the hottest locals (non hookers) party at? Of course meeting some European women would be awesome too. Someone please help me!

Puerto Plata vs Cabarete vs Punta Cana nightlife

Avoid Puerto Plata, especially at night.
In Cabarete you have everything you listed.
Hookers: Whole country is a single big brothel, ALL local girls coming to tourist places are hookers.
Beware of local males being friendly: they all want your best (money).
To meet non-hookers and young academics: best place is Santo Domingo. But you need a local to show you the current inn clubs. Put Sto. Dgo. on the list for 2nd or 3rd trip.
Punta Cana: No real city center. For changing clubs you need a not so cheap taxi. Best pick a taxi driver at day time you somehow trust and stick with him. Expensive in everything.
European girls: Amsterdam.

dude, if you do not speak spanish, forget meeting the non hooker type women in the upscale clubs. those women would not give you the time of day. they are not like the putas, who do not care whether or not you can communicate with them. some of these non hooker hotties can buy you , and sell you, a dozen times before lunch. you do not impress them with whatever you have, since many of them have a lot more than you do.
Puerto Plata is great. It depends on the music you like. I spend almost every night in PURE but I hear there's a lot of puntas there. I have also been to Rancho Typico and Coco Bongo all are really great and I have an amazing time. What discos do you like there?
If you want to meet a classy Dominican woman, go on a hiking trip or something. I would stay away from the night spots all together, if your goal is a classy woman.

Otherwise, forget about hooking up with the latest debutante from the Brugal family, and just go have fun. Ask the locals what the best spots are for tourists, leave your preconceived notions on the plane, and enjoy your vacation.

Avoid POP and that area all together. Come to Las Terrenas. Many "nice"Dominican women and Europeans. No all inclusives here but many smaller and nice hotels directly across from the beach. You can fly into El Catey/Samana Airport (AZS) direct from NYC and Canada.
