Question about the former Punta Goleta Resort located ath the west edge of Cabarete

Last time I was driving by (within two years) it looked like major renovations were in the process of being done and a new name/sign had been painted.
Can anyone tell me if they are open for business now and if so, under what name and affiliation?

Thanks, some friends enjoyed their stay there and are looking to book for the spring of '08.

It appears to be closed and the word is that is has been sold and will be redeveloped, but there is not much movement at present.
