Not really! Many upper crust females in the DR when they are underage of course are under Daddy's wing but that's the same everywhere as well. Many upper crust girls in the DR have well paying jobs, own their car and travel. They live with their families mostly out of custom but many also live on their own. They have high positions and lead lonely lives because the pool of available men is not there. They aren't dating the painter.

I'll concede somewhat but since so many DR1 "posters" and many in the general population have been burned cheated on and ripped off royally by these survivalist girls that's why they are termed barrio hood rats. These simple survivalists, most not all, are rotten dirty rats that are trying to scam the old gringo or the unknowing tourist or Dominican. These rotten rats are a dime a dozen in the DR and the proof are all the threads and posts of how these poor girls have made mince meat out of them.

I have been here at DR1 for over 10 years and still have to see a thread dealing with the scamming upper crust girl doing over a gringo tourist. Why doesn't it happen? The upper crust views any association with barrio hood rat males as pollutants. They also for the most part view the gringo or euro tourist as gringo-trash or euro-trash since they freely associate with the pollutants. The gringo and euro tourist will easily and openly associate and marry into the lower classes populated by hood rats. Guilty by association I guess. I am just telling you how the upper crust thinks. That's all.

Too many threads and posts here on DR1 state otherwise. I think you are grossly mistaken as it concerns the DR. Does it happen? Yes of course but the posts and threads state that the overwhelming majority of cases deal with rats doing over tourists and unsuspecting Dominicans. Now that doesn't mean the tourists are totally innocent. Many love the rat game and live for it. Rat life has its allure for these tourists and it satisfies them in ways that a proper and prim relationship never will.

The day to day drama of dealing with a hood rat and the varied explosive emotions flying everywhere adds a level of excitement they've never experienced. The dependency that occurs as the barrio hood rat needs the gringo satisfies the gringo's needs for power and domination something all males crave. So, the rat life fulfills a very important need lacking in the Western male. You could call it a necessary symbiotic or parasitic relationship. Either or it is necessary for all parties involved.

I never saw this in the DR nor do I see it at present. Many friends of mine who are females want a relationship but their demands are so great they spend many many years alone. One Dominican female I know who is a striking beauty has been alone for over ten years. We all ask what is she waiting for. Doesn't she realize that life is finite while waiting for Mr. Perfect. These girls do not want anything to do with the barrio hood rat male and are turned off. Are their exceptions? Of course but that isn't the norm. All I saw and continue to see is how the upper crust female looks down at the barrio male rat as a pollutant.

On the other hand you have many beautiful DR females who appear to be of the upper crust but they are just refined rats. They've slept with some old Dominican with money who has them holed up in some nice apartment with nice clothes and a nice car which gives the impression she is from the upper crust. But, she only appears to be of the upper crust. She really is not. You may be confusing these high class rats with the upper crust. If you are in the upper crust, are Dominican you know who's in and who isn't. You know the fakes.

There's too much at stake in the DR to risk such behavior. Cheating may occur between the upper crust but someone truly from the upper crust cheating with a barrio hood rat from Ville Mella I don't think so. I at least never saw it nor did anyone I knew. You keep extending this outward and pretty soon you encompass the entire upper crust in the DR and basically everyone as "chismoso" as Dominicans are. Remember that those who live well are few and the poor is basically well over 90% of the population.

Please post some pics of some Dominican female driving here Peugeot into Villa Mella to pick up her barrio hood rat ALPHA male. I don't think Villa Mella or Lo Mina have ever even seen a Peugeot there. It better be brand spanking new, LOL. Like I said never saw it myself. Never saw it either in Cienfuegos but there's always a first.

LOL, I guess.

These woman are such a rarity in the D.R its not worth commenting on.

ru is mifepristone. what is available and used here is another agent that is often given to a woman in combination with that: misporostol (cytotec).

Cytotec is an abortifacient.

There are a number of progestin-only pills available here w/o prescription which will reduce the risk of pregnancy by something like 88% and have a 72 hour window of effectiveness (sooner the better though). These pills prevent fertilization from occurring. I've purchased Imediat N or Impreviat--don't remember which--at the pharmacy before.

Avoid Evital (Unapproved emergency birth control medicine possibly in U.S. distribution may be ineffective and unsafe)

Everywhere in the world the poor and uneducated multiply like bunnies, this is a poor country so figure.
Having said this I also know quite a few women up to their thirties from "normal" families who are educated with no children. My gf is 24, industrial engineer, bilingual, a job and no kids.
True, not easy to find for a foreigner but then again I speak the language almost like a native, have a Latin heart and I'm ugly. ;)
Right on Frank. Yeah lack of education is a culprit for sure. In the US it has become the prime way to get on "the Dole".
I could be way off, but most women feel the need to have children; whether it be to feel accepted, find happiness or to satisfy the most basic idea of a women's being a success to provide children.
My Dominican wife was worried when we married. She was 26, going to Law School and felt the "clock" was really ticking. I tried to convince her otherwise but she said for a Dominican woman it was different. After our experience I'd agree. The environment in a poor barrio, drinking rain water from tin roofs, lack of refrigeration, amebas, parasites and such is not condusive for having children in the DR or other impoverished areas.
After two miscarriages she went through a cleaning/prep process and WALA a 10lb. baby boy.
The other aspects could be how these girls/women may or may not be viewed by others. My wife's aunt told her that if she didn't have a child she would be depressed the rest of her life. Yeah, the aunt didn't have luck, adopted another family members baby--raised the child great--he has a real good job at the Presidente Brewery but she is missing something.
For many women the world over this would not be an issue. They find themselves dedicated to other things. My sister did not have children--hasn't phased her one bit. I also know women of means that not being able to have a child has greatly affected them.
To get back to the Thread start and as you point out Frank, this issue ain't a Dominican deal!!!!
Most poor people seem to embrace their kids as treasures, sacrifice and indeed spoil them without material things. As long as these children are brought up knowing the difference between right and wrong they give back!!
What amazes me is how Dominican kids fear the threat of a "pow pow" slap on the top of their hand. They back off big time. A slap on the butt is a joke to them!
For all the "gas" us posters have put in here, maybe we should have discussed what to do with parents That Aren't!!!!

Hey Frank, I have seen one picture of you on DR1. You're actually a pretty hansome "Honkie Gringo".

How about we all meet in front of the Penaloba at 7pm on friday and iron something out?
Then I'll have some Chivo while the palomas go to rest in the trees.

This thread is on thin ice.........

Now, I have to admit I smiled at some of them [deyvi ], but let's get back to DR women & their babies and less chit-chat.

But even in the U.S., the more educated the less children. It's this way all over the world and I don't think it's a distinguishing trade mark of a "hood rat" trying to take advantage of someone, as most disillusioned gringos would have one think.
