Yes, the phone supposedly has been found in a park in Mao and it mentions in the FB thread that two are in custody, that came from the same Russ Offord. This does not look good...

Pretty much what any embassy does. Absolutely nothing. I will save the rest of that dialogue for a different thread
I spoke to them earlier and urged them to make sure the authorities are doing their job properly. In the current climate it could make all the difference.
What are the implications in terms of their responsibilities towards her as a British citizen?

Thursday 12th of December
Pick up at 7am Parkinglot Supermercado Playero Sosua.
Pick ut at 7:45am Parkinglot Supermercado Jumbo Puerto Plata.
Please bring water and something to eat. This is all sponteanous to keep costs low. Nothing will be supplied except transportation back and forward!
We will be working together with the Police Force who have been very cooperative with sharing information with us.
They will bring search dogs, defensa civil, police force and bomberos.
Please write in comments if you join, so we have a bit an idea how many people will come out and if we need a second truck!
Anybody who would like to come by own transportation, no problem.

***MISSING PERSON***. Lindsay De Feliz was last seen in person in front of the Puerto Plata court at noon on Tuesday, December 10. He was in contact with friends through fb messenger and whatsapp until 2:30 p.m., where his last message for them was that he would be home in 25 minutes. She was traveling by bus to the Moncion area. She is always online, so when she didn't answer the messages for a few hours, her friend called her husband who worked in Santo Domingo and he went home immediately. . She was not at home and her purse or phone was not there either. It didn't seem like he would ever get home. He is not in the hospitals we have called and the police have begun an investigation into his disappearance. She would NEVER intentionally not go home to take care of her animals. I was one of the last people to see her at noon and was in a very good mood. Lindsay is British and has lived in the Dominican Republic for many years. Many people love her and she is the most generous and affectionate woman I have ever met. Please, if you have any information message or contact me at 829-302-2177. She was dressed in black dress pants and a yellow blouse and black dress shoes.

I haven’t met Lindsay, but have spoken to her frequently via email etc. over the past several years. Her knowledge, sense of humour, and willingness to help...I just can’t. She has helped me out numerous times. She explained how I could get a DR police check from Canada, and recently a translator. Always realistic but never judging.
I’m going with Africaida’s post and banking on her resilience and grit. And that she is going to be found just fine.

i am hoping against hope that maybe, just maybe, she is suffering from the adverse effects of the recent blows to her head, and is suffering from some sort of disorientation.....hence her lack of contact with her friends and family..
