I have the most recent CD of Raulin Rodriguez (El Cacique Del Amargue) "es mejor..."

I have been looking on the internet to find the lyrics for the songs on this CD and have been unsuccessful in finding them (the cover with the CD only lists the songs but does not have the lyrics). Does anyone know where I could get them?

Where did you buy this cd? If you bought it in the DR in the airport or on the street you may have a "pirate version". His latest cd came out on March 9, 2004. It called "Si no te tengo". Any other version is a fake. That's why you can't find the lyrics.

His new album SI NO TE TENGO is awesome.... to say the very least.

"el cacique del amargue" is his "apodo"- showname but not the name of the album.

Gracias Lesley. Tu es correcto! I did buy it at the POP airport around the end of March. It may very well be a pirated version but it does not matter because it is of excellent quality and I love the songs. I could have been wrong when I said it was his latest CD. The actual CD does not look like a pirated version though because it actually has the songs, productions company, etc. engraved right onto the CD - it looks professional compared to other pirated CDs I've bought.

Maybe it would be a more appropriate question to say where can I find the lyrics to any of his songs and I will just look for the songs that are listed on this CD.

You answered too quickly. I was going to tell you that on the true version there is a song called "Es mejor". I can send the lyrics (PM) because I documented them myself. You have the real cd if the cover is close up version of Raulin's face, glasses, and he's wearing a black & yellow jersey.

Also in Spanish to say "you are right": "tienes razon". (I hope you don't mind me helping you).

For song lyrics in general do a search on google type in "bachata lyrics" many sites appear. But this is not my area of expertise because I document the lyrics myself in my spare time.

Not an easy website to deal with...

Okay I just went to the link sabordominicano.com and I find that there are plenty of steps to go through to get to what you want. That's what I don't like about that website. As well, Fiesta Mama if you visit sabordominicano.com and get the lyrics watch the spelling! It's horrible in general (I did not look Raulin's music yet) and that's the other issue I have with that website. The spelling is far from acceptable. Spanish should be correctly spelt all the time. Just my advice. Ten cuidado.

I *do* have the original. it comes without lyrics as well ;-(

Thanks all for your great suggestions and help. It's not a simple as doing a google search I might add or I would not have posted on here in the first place. If I am able to track down any more lyrics for his songs I will let you guys know.
