Remember everything over there is resolved with money. Luckily I dont do drugs Or Am i A Homicidal maniac LOL so i wont have to deal with that. But the Dealers Know they can get something extra on the side if they offer. im Guessing they'll have to give you back your money if u fail. But then again if u know your going to fail Why even try???? Remember Pshychiatric test Then Drug Test. Ididnt Do the Whole shooting range thing Idk About that i Know now u have to go to a shooting range to prove you can handle a gun. which the dealers now include this in the price of the gun. Gun,All medical tests,shooting range with gun rental And box of bullets. Personally i have never seen any wilsons out there But I know they're around because thats what military are being givin Wilson 1911 Pistols. Feds Are getting Glocks. And cops Are still getting berretas. Lawyers usually charge About 3-5 Thousand For that, atleast thats what they charged my sibling. for the transfer of his carandai.

im interested in buying a gun in d.r. but i would like to know the prices, cause ive heard there expensive but im not looking to spend more then a 1000 dollars
You would be good buying off a private dealer. you will probably not find anything in da shops for less than US$2000 or RD$60,000. and that will probably get u a Taurus
9mm or a snub nose .38 revolver. buying from a Private owner will be a more Precise Way to go as there are far more choices and U have the flexibilty to choose which weapon will fit ur needs perfectly.
Just look in the classifieds.
Once u find the weapon u want to buy I recomend u get a lawyer to handle the Primary Documents And make sure the Weapon is CLEAN!!!!

2. Legalize Acta de venta at the procaduria.
3. Pay the Taxes and Fees At any local Banco de reservas office. this will include the price of the Pshychiatric Test that is required. It will Be RD$11,240.00 For the Traspaso con emicion original(Which is mandatory if ur buying from another user) and gives u the right to own the gun + $805.00 if u need the Porte license (CCW)
4.go to any S.E.I.P Supported Psiquiatra and have a pshych eval Done.(Mandatory But really Stupid)
5.go to Any Shooting range That is supported By S.E.I.P and get a certification from them
6. Go to any Laboratory That is supported By S.E.I.P and Take a urinary Doping Test Which tests for marijuana Meth, Opium, and any other illegal Substances.
7. Make sure u take 2 2x2 Pictures of the Buyer.
8.U and the seller of the gun Must to The Secretaria De estado de interior y policia in Santo Domingo 3rd Floor, Where the Gun must be Deposited and all other necessary Steps will be explained to u.
Make sure all the Taxes and fees are paid if not U will be Having to make more than one trip.

Any pistol is reliable as long as you maintain and clean it properly. A revolver requires much less maintenance than a semi-auto. Look into getting a 5 shot S&W .38 airlite. It is hammerless and made from a titanium alloy. Very light and concealable.
