Do we know at this point if the AI resorts will be at all affected by the alcohol ban over Easter weekend? It goes without saying that guest will need to eat so some provisions will be made to feed people within the protocols established. Saw a report here on DR! yesterday saying that the military will be monitoring hotels for compliance with the Govt decree. Just how far does that decree go when it comes to AI resorts?

What about liquor stores and supermarkets? Are they banned from selling alcohol, too? Dominicans are just going to fill up juice cartons and soda bottles will alcohol and bring them to the beach. This will only hurt the restaurants and not prevent anything.

Is it really that important? They are still a government. People look to government to solve their problems. So now the government can say they did something. It's the same here as any other place.

As far as any given PN wants it to at any given location.

It's not important to me, but restaurants probably feel otherwise. What good does it do just to ban alcohol from discos in the AI's and tourists restaurants?

Not to be cynical, but I find it to be a tad bit farcical with the amount of people who have a desire to gather information on subject matter that they supposedly have absolutely zero interest in. New visitors/arrivals would have rationale for such, but one must admit, they are a minority of the community members posting within.
What are the AI's doing? From persons who will never visit an AI.
What are the colmados doing? From persons who have never step foot in one.
What rivers, beaches, or bathing spots are open? From persons who normally do not attend, especially on weekends or holidays when Dominicans are there enjoying their homeland.
What alcohol enforcement will there be? From persons who do not partake in adult beverages.
What about this? What about that? What will they do?

How about just sitting back, and enjoying life?
Enjoy your day as you so see fit, even if it includes just worrying about what everybody else may or may not be doing.
