Safety for DR1ers

I recently became aware of this and will be getting a few as an extra layer of protection. This bar prevents intruders (thiefs, rapists -single women-, kidnappers; a crazy ex lol, whatever) from getting inside the house, at least through the door(s). It could come in handy for many expats.

It looks like it works pretty good. But how do I get it to distinguish between the single women I want to break into my room and the rest of the crazies I want to keep out.

Well it is prettier than the old broom handle for the sliding door. And on the front door it might give you more time to flush the drugs too. Depends on how bad they want in.

I have used broom sticks here from day one, to great effect....they are readily availible as the Dominican broom breaks after about a week............

My security is a broomstick, too. I use it to fly out at the first sign of trouble.
