I see this advertized with 18 KG load and 10 year warranty ( which means nothing here of course) but does anyone use the Samsung inverter washer in DR and does it actually work well.
I have a GE that doesn't seem to use enough water and I am tired of the agitator tearing my clothes

We have had one for several months and no complaints from my better half.
Pretty quiet in operation.

Paid about $33,000 on sale at La Sirena.

when in doubt throw it out .also with a lot of washing machines you have to make sure you're on the cycle where it says deep water washing

What makes an appliance an "inverter refrigerator, washer etc" different from all other types? Does the mgf alter certain parts of the appliance or...?

A lot of little things, but the main difference is the inverter A/C compressor is variable speed, and the regular A/C runs full speed whenever it runs.
I seem to remember the fan on the exterior unit is 12V as opposed to 110V.

Are these appliances sold at a premium? Are they an option at the major stores?

You will have the option at most major stores to buy either type, and inverter appliances are more expensive. The payback comes in your electric bills which will be noticeably lower.
