Hello,

I'm looking for a place to live in Santiago, I prefer it be close to PUCMM since I'll be studying there. Need it for beginning of 2008... Just need one room, don't mind splitting rent.... I'm Dominican.... You can PM me or post either one...

Thanks!

Ummm.. I would prefer walking distance... But as long as its not too too far then it's worth looking at.. Price range: Anything below $300..... I have less than a month in a half to get situated.... I would be going in and starting to live there around late December.... But before the 25th.... Let me know.... Do you have a vacancy?

Thanks...

You need to come here and look at the Villa Olimpica and the Loteria. those are the two closest places. Also talk to Marc in the International Student office. He has a list of places within walking distance of the school.
I could offer you something but it is much further away.

Thanks Hillbily! Where is the place that your talking about that you can offer me? It doesn't absolutely HAVE to be walking distance.. I know that I Have to look at all possibilities and if I have to stay a little farther than normal than I'll do it... How far is it from the school (an estimate)?

Thanks!

Five to ten minutes by car (three kilometers). You can bike it easy.
You can take a publico or two.

The best thing for you to do is to come here and see wjhat you are getting into. More than likely if you don't you will be sorry. The E Sadhala runs right in front of PUCMM and the carros publicos go up and down it all day long and charge RD10 - this should help he broaden you're search area.

If you can't come down before the semester starts, call follow the link below to the PUCMM Iternational Student Affairs that shows available apartments.

Oficina de Estudiantes Internacionales

Failing that, maybe you could get Hillbilly to post something on a billboard on campus so the you could find another student who is looking for a roomate.

Thanks Chip! That was of much help.... Yeah I don't have a problem with riding en un carro publico... I will be going to PUCMM around Dec. 4 to Dec. 7 and will most likely be moving over there permanently by Dec. 28....
