Good day, if selling a house in Santo Domingo using a lawyer to handle the sale between the buyer and seller and not a real estate broker what would be an appropriate commission to pay the lawyer's fees....?

Do you have a buyer ready to go? Otherwise I would guess that the lawyer would sell it to a friend for a very low price and the two of them would split the profit. Agents generally charge around 10% (although I got mine to do it for 5% for an exclusive agency). I would think the lawyer would charge the same.

For just handling the sale, my lawyer is charging me 1% + ITBIS.

Yes we have a potential buyer and the house was valued by an appraiser which we are using as the sale price...
