Hello ;

Question for residents and dual citizens here in DR ; Is it true that Dominicans (cédula Holders) are by default enter/ register into SENASA If their “computer system” determines that you are NOT currently working ?

I was just told this by my barber 💈 and the shampoo girl as well ; they said that both of them went into the public hospital years ago and even thought they have NEVER apply for SENASA they were both register as SENASA recipient ( sucidiario senasa policy holder ) … they even said they are some some clinics that will take their SENASA not just Public Hospital

That sounds too good to be true ⬆️ to tell you the true ; I didn’t believe them

That sounds like back in the states the government giving out MEDICARE CARDS just cause you unemployed …. I don’t believe it

Any one heard of this before ?

Go to https://cartaafiliacion.arssenasa.gob.do/Home?aspxerrorpath=/ and enter your cedula.

As a resident… I’ve never registered but says that I am enrolled.
Holy Cow! So am I!

As members of the Subsidized Social Security System, you and your direct dependents have the right to:

1. Health care guaranteed through the Public Health Network.
2. Care during pregnancy, childbirth, and care for newborns.
3. Home visits for disease prevention and health promotion.
4. Receive health care in hospitals, without paying extra.
5. X-rays, sonograms, and laboratory tests in hospitals, without paying extra.
6. Medications during appointments and when you are hospitalized for any treatment indicated by your doctor, at no additional cost, in accordance with the Social Security Law.
7. Home visits by medical personnel, if necessary.
8. Care in the hospital Emergency Room 24 hours a day without paying extra.

For SeNaSa, it is vital to take care of your health and that of your loved ones, so we inform you that health services will be provided to you through the Primary Care Unit (UNAP).

This will cover you in any Public Hospital........But not many, if any Private Clinics. Any citizen with a Cedula has it automatically............

You may be surprised. They have a list of clinics and doctors who accept it on the website. It's a lot more extensive than you might imagine, and growing.

Puerto Plata is region II

It's worth your time to spend a little time on the website; ARSSenasa is huge.

There are 2 types of Senasa, the Senasa plan Contributivo who has people that its working and every month pay a contribution from his salary for pension, labor accident insurance and health system, and Sensa given by goverment for free that give you full coverage in public hospitals and some clinics they acept it for some services like some Lab test.

I keep wanting to go to SENESA and get insurance, like Plan Larimar, but have not done it yet because I'm old and will need all the medical exams before they accept me and I finally have some money to pay for exams. But, according to you guys, I don't need it? Like I'm covered if I break my leg or get covid or something?

It says I have "Citizen Status : ASSET WITH COVERAGE" So that covers all the main stuff? Just double checking because I'm stunned if that's correct.
Print out your confirmation while you're there and remember to say thanks to Luis! lol

This is great info! Mine says I am in the Regimen Subsidiado. I looked on the website to see who in Puerto Plata accepts it (had to search San Felipe Puerto Plata...took me a minute to figure that out). Of course the main hospital is listed, but also the Centro Medico Bournigal and the Laboratorio Puerto Plata which is really close to that clinic. A few other doctors are listed.
