President Luis Abinader appointed the former vice presidential candidate of the People’s Force (FP), Sergia Elena Mejía to the Monetary Board with Decree 6430-20. She will replace former Vice President Jaime David Fernandez, a PLD politician. Mejia is best known as a Social Christian Reformist Party (PRSC) politician. As reported, Jaime David Fernández term had expired.
