Montero/Awida/EncorgPaq

May I ask how much were the quotes for that generator?

Does "Awilda" has a website?

All prices are Door to Door all inclusive from the US to my house in the DR:

Montero $560 US
Awilda $450 US
EncargoPaq 12,500 $RD = $321 US

Awilda's contact information is:

Mail Boxes Etc. (a UPS franchise in Santiago and Santo Domingo & 8 other locations in DR) Very efficient. You get your own Miami address where your purchase is forwarded from Amazon or any place you purchase. It is here in a matter of days...depending on time your place of purchase send to Florida. They notify you by email on receipt. Been using them for several years. Even had 24inch flat screen monitors sent...Viewsonic under $188. at Amazon. Check online for closest franchise location. MBE - Mail Boxes Etc. Rep?blica Dominicana - Sobre Nosotros

This would be my recommendation

We ship many things to DR. from small computers to large engine lathes and milling machines. We use Landbridge a lot. We have a Machine shop in Pto Pta. We also sell tig and mig welders here.

So, basically one could buy online and let the seller ship to Montero or Awilda like one uses Vimenpaq? Or is this a different procedure? They would then deliver to your door in DR? EncargoPaq works like Transexpress, thats clear to me...

Yes, I have bought from Lowe's ( a lawn mower ) and rec'd free shipping.
Shipped to Awilda in NYC and they forward it on to me... to my door, duty paid.

In that case, the 80lb mower was $110 to ship ( I think +/-).
It cost about $300......... so $410 all in.

Similar mowers here are about that but are Poulans..... this was a fully tricked out TORO.

Better brand IMO, and equivalent price.

Yes, that is how you do it. For EncargoPaq (Transexpress, EPS, Mailboxes, Business Mail) they all provide you with an address near Miami and then the goods are forwarded to the DR.

For the companies like Montero and Awilda ( or EncargoPaq, etc for larger items) contact them to get quotes and then you tell them what you are doing and ship to their location be it NYC or MIA. Then they handle all the customs work and deliver it to your door.

Maybe you know:

Do Montero, Awilda and EncargoPaq ship all over to DR, i.e. Bavaro? Or only NC?

Wicked easy...

and since Danilo used an executive order to croak the 18% tax on internet purchases under $200 relatively cheap.

Just picked up my package and by far this is probably one of the easiest things to do in this country. I placed an order with Amazon on a Monday. Prime shipping and Vimenpaq had my order in their Miami office in two days. Exactly one week from the date I placed the order I picked up my package at the Vimenpaq facility on Winston Churchill and Bolivar.

The 3.0 pound package cost 550 pesos and the 4.2 pound package cost 680 pesos.

I picked up a third package from Vimenpaq weighing 9.05 lbs and costing $RD 1521.95. Vimenpaq is fast, efficient, but definetly not cheap.

BTW, the office on Bolivar and Churchill is open till 9PM Monday to Friday.
