I never heard of Montero, Awilda. I know a lot of people that use Tenares, them seem more reliable?

Montero and Awilda are frequently used, regardless of whether you've heard of them and both are reliable. I know many people that have used both.

For the future I would strongly recommend you to connect all your valuable electrical equipment to the power supply via a voltage/surge protector.

Also my TV got fried once due to a surge spike even having had a surge protector connected. Well i had to learn best is to connect 2 surge protectors (connected in series) due to the fact sometimes a high voltage can even pass through the first protector and before the fuse is burned the high voltage already jumped to the next protector.
After the TV has been repaired, me feeling now on the safe side with the double protection.... a high voltage cable in the street went down and hit the TV cable! This time the TV was really fried!!!
So i bought even a TV connector protector on Amazon. In this country always expect the unexpected LOL
