Singles in Boca Chica?

Do many foreign singles vacation in Boca Chica? If so, do most opt for the all-inclusives (Hamaca, BC Resort, etc.) or smaller hotels like the Zapata?

Forgot to ask... what countries do most of the vacationing single females come from? (staying in Boca Chica)

Boca Chica is a singles town if ever there was one. You will find the town loaded with singles and excellent night life. I estimate 80-90% of the people out partying on any given night are singles. Most of the single men are foreigners and most of the single women are locals. The all-inclusive resorts are almost all couples, including their discos. Singles tend to stay in the smaller hotels and party at the town's local bars.

Most of the single foreign women are from Canada, from my experience. Most of the single foreign men are Italian and German.

I'm a married Canadian woman whose been to Boca Chica 10 times. I don't stay in the big resorts and in all my trips I've never met a single Canadian girl down there. There are tonnes of single German girls though.

No you don't get many singles there really.

It is really a couples resort. I did go with a mate of mine and we meet a couple of girls. But they were only together because one of the boyfriends dropped out and a girl friend took advantage of the cheap holiday.

Having said that the Local 'girls' are extremely friendly (at a price!)

Do single women tend to stay at the all-inclusive resorts?

Hi Mark...I think they do. In my experience, the ones who are staying at smaller hotels do so because it's not their first trip there and they have a Dominican boyfriend. Groups of single female tourists are more likely to stay at an economical all inclusive like the Boca Chica Resort or the Don Juan. This has a lot to do with single women being concerned about safety issues while travelling to a foreign country and travelling on a buget. When I travel to Santo Domingo I notice on the flights from Toronto it's mostly couples or families. Puerto Plata usually comes up a little cheaper in the last minute deals from here, so you'd probably see more single Canadian women there. As I said before though, there are a lot of German women who travel to Boca Chica...In the early fall (September) there are also quite a few South Americans.
