Alcohol and food poisoning! I told my kids that this is the last Christmas I will spend in the DR. Everyone to their own preferences. I respect that, but for myself, I choose to spend quality time with my family and not out at 10:00 p.m. until 10:00 the next morning when the booming music finally stopped
In Jamao.

Don’t get me wrong. In my younger years I could party until breakfast time (and sometimes go right to work the next day teaching 5 year olds,) but those days are gone and I now enjoy family, close friends,
And a tranquil life.

Worth mentioning again. Some idiot parked his car in the gas station next to my house yesterday and was showing off his speakers to everyone within a 2000 ft. radius.
I filed an anon. complaint on the MiPolicia app and the agents were there in less than 20 minutes. End of sound.

But I live in small town that love chismes. The moment I talk to the local police half the people in Jamao will know who ruined their “fun.” I always do my best to be- with them- a non controversial, bland person. I keep my opinions to myself and if I find something so objectionable that I cannot tolerate it, I simple leave……exactly why I will not spend another Christmas here.
