Hello everyone,
We are a Canadian couple traveling independent(no tours-All Inclusive) and we will visit Punta Cana, Bavaro area in the next month. We are looking to book with one small hotel for a 4 days or a week, any sugestions? I have a list of small hotels but no contact phone# or email for this:
Cortecito Inn, Hotel Carabela, Los Corales, Caraib Italia, Residencia Sol de Bavaro and Hotel Cayacoa. Any information or directions of where I should search for more info, will be greatly appreciated. Also any other sugestions are welcome.
Thanks in advance,
Vi

Try the link below for Cortecito Inn. In reference to your list, the only Hotel Cayacoa that I am aware of is in Samana, which is a small all-inclusive resort operated by the Spanish chain Occidental. Although you will find a few non all-inclusive hotels in Punta Cana, I think the Samana peninsula and some parts of the North Coast will offer the independent traveller more options in terms of accommodations, attractions, sightseeing opportunities and interaction with Dominicans...just a thought :) Hope this helps.

Natasha

Hotel Carabela is popular as all inclusive. It's not a small hotel as the Cortecito Inn is but not as big as the Bavaro Barcelo complex though. In the Cortecito village there's a Bed & Breakfast "La posada de Piedra" (809) 552-0827 I've stayed there twice and loved it.

There is hotel Cayacoa in Plaza Bavaro. I don't know the telephone number, but I know the price is about 400 pesos per night.

I have rooms from 20.- - 35.-US$ breakfast inkl.
The house got also a Internet cafe and a nice beach bar,
Pi?a colada is waiting !
In the next couple of day's you also can see a few photos from
the place on the net:www.camadosa.com !
I wait to hear from you,

happy new year your Stephan.
