Greetings. Does anyone know if they sell the wood pellets used for smoker grills anywhere on the island? We have a Traeger smoker grill that we brought with us but we're having no luck finding the wood pellets. (And no, this does not work with wood chips or charcoal. It has to be wood pellets.) Thanks so much for the assistance. We're on the north coast in Sosua/Cabarete but we're in SD often so we can pick up. Gracias!!

You won't find anything here in the DR that will fill the bill. Your Traeger smoker grill is useless, and I recommend you take it outside and throw it in the trash.
Please contact me in private so we can coordinate exactly when you are going to throw it out and I will pick it up and take it to the dump for you. :ROFLMAO:

If you have a family member or friend they can arrange a Maritime shipping co. There are many depending where you live. I ship a 50 gallon drum filled with as much stuff as you wish. The drum cost is approx USD 40 and the shipping is about 100.

Is there a WEIGHT Limit on these Barrels ? and do they ever Open them , to see if someone is trying to do any kind of " Business" sales .. like lets say small parts which can be sold , not to make a full time business out of it , but like for the people its donated to , so they can make a couple bucks too. ( and no , nothing Illegal )

Thanks all. Yes, I'm aware I can ship them in but as we all know that can get spendy. The mundaza is preferrable over BM Cargo et al. I was just wondering if anyone sold them in-country. Thanks for the input though!! I have never used the mundanza before so if you have a recommendation for one that's US based that would be great.

It depends where you’d be shipping from. NY, NJ, FL, PA, MA, etc

JD, I've shipped everything imaginable in there, knock on wood never had an issue. Some minor breakage, but you need to wrap stuff well. Yes they do open randomly. No funny business.

Let's say FL. Not sure how this works really using this method. If I purchase 6 bags of pellets, who handles getting them into the barrel? Would I need someone to actually do this in the states for me? I do appreciate the assistance AE.

I do this all the time... they fill the barrel

Buy on Amazon, Best Buy, wherever and ship to the mudanza.... you pay on arrival

a 2x2x2 box is about $35.... same for 3x3x3....

Fill a tanque (drum) with 4-5 bags of your pellets and fire away......
The price includes tax and door to door delivery

Search the mudanza thread to choose one.... MIA and NYC are the easiest

BTW, you don't necessarily have to fill the tank, and you can use it as a trash can once it arrives.

I bet those boxes WW mentioned are probably the way to go.
