Las Galeras, Samana
Colombian with a little bit of Venezuela, Chile, and Germany (Berlin), and a lot of Florida (too many places to mention), Atlanta, NY, Brooklyn, and Jersey landing in a tiny spot in the Caribbean called Las Galeras (Samaná). First visited Punta Cana (PC) 30+ years ago (when most of us thought it was a country). Much of the laid back vibe (that I remember) is different (visited last year). Heck! Let's toast to "modernity", it was bound to arrive. Las Galeras is home when I'm not on the road (which happens frequently). A superb resting hole, and far enough away from PC so that by the time "modernity" arrives I'll be long gone.

Many years ago, there was a guy who took us on horses from Las Galeras to Playa Rincón, gentle ride, swim, lunch, relax and back... , it was a fun day and I think there were like 10 people on the beach including me and my girl...! Good old days..., enjoy.

Good morning Hijo de Manolo. "DR's Stepford", care to elaborate? I'm familiar with Levin's book and film adaptation (The Stepford Wives), and intrigued how it describes Las Galeras (if this was intended).

Blue Collar Town in New Jersey
This place has been kind of a well kept secret for a long time, other than for the All Inclusive which used to be Grand Paradise, and is now Wyndham Alltra Samana . And I wish it would stay that way for more years to come . its so far out of the way though that it should not be a Problem .. Playa Rincon and especially all the way at the end by the River is very nice, but Playita is even better IMO .
Never made it to Fronton. but Hope to one day ,Although we drove that Boca Del Diablo road for a ways until it narrowed to only a walking Path . "Camino a Playa Fronton:
Lots to explore here . Hope to make it back one day soon.

You have chosen a very good spot to make your happy Place.

OK Aristotle.
Pay no mind to member Stock, he has pandered for years to get mushy peas on the Mojito Bar happy hour menu. As a regular, over time, he has enjoyed a few too many Lax and Mojito 2-fer-1 Long Island iced teas and all you can eat wing specials, where he has been known to be accompanied by his various Haitian domestic employee lovers. That said, he's not such a bad seed, albeit misunderstood by most.

Interesting! I don't remember any of those things about my activities, although I agree with the last sentence!
