I think the best food is on Sundays when they have the temporary food stands. I love the fried fish or chicken carbon with tostones or rice. It is all cooked in the morning so it is very quick and it is priced for Dominican tourists coming up from Santo Domingo.

It really amazes me that most of the menus on the beach are so similar. I have seen two menu boards right next to each other for two restaurants that were EXACTLY the same. You would think that cold spaghetti with a side of rice was the national dish.
