Is this a fairly new building? I used to eat breakfast at a Baileys when we visited but it was a lot smaller than this is.

Looks like they finally got the club on the top floor going. The story was that they couldn't get the licence because Willy was blocking it he wanted all the brothers to go to his club at the casino.

Your probably remembering it when it was just a restaurant. Several years ago it was sold to the current ownership group and they built the hotel in the back as well as adding the new bar that just opened on the top floor. IMO the food quality was better with the prior owners but it is still ok.

Rumor has it that they have it listed for around 10 mill USD.
If that's true that price is laughable but a sucker with a dream born every minute.

Thanks JD.

In the video in the OP the person who posted the video indicated the price is 4mm

Oh ok I didn't see that comment of the price when I originally watched the video.
4mill is still over priced but a little more realistic than the 10 mill that was thrown out there.

I know most places are always for sale. Been a lot, very public, in a short period of time. It feels different this time. I could be wrong but it feels different.
When I came to Sosua to buy 14 years ago it was the same. For sale was Perdro McMurphy's, The Britannia, La Vache, the bar across the street called The Hideaway and some bar around the corner from Flames. ....and that is just in one small sector.

The government certainly isn't going to incentivize more clubs, bars and nightlife in or around Sosua.

I used to eat there but then I went one day after it started transitioning to the whoremonger's hangout (before they even closed the front access)
It may still be a successful business but it's no longer for families or mature people who are looking for a nice breakfast or casual night out.

It sounds like the owner is getting out while the getting is good.
Maybe just a bit late to be getting out while it's good. With interest rates so high property sales are lagging and people seem to be hunkering down and global money isn't freely moving as before.

Certainly Bailees is a good place for money laundering - Lots of cash being handled and with a new disco and hotel rooms I think 50,000 a week could be washed ?
So maybe that will prompt a sale.
