Bliss in Cabarete has the best Italian food on the North Coast. Chef (owner) is Italian, and graduated the most prestigious cooking school in Italy. That is in the Piemonte region of Italy.

I have stayed at both Casa Marina and Viva. I would rather spend more to stay at Viva, but if your budget is tight, Casa Marina is not bad.

As far as getting into town from Viva, it is a 10 minute walk on the beach.
