Sosua will have a Hard Rock Café

Many tourists like to enjoy something familiar when in a different country...not for every meal, but on occasion. And, many will splurge a bit, whereas they might not go to one "back home." This Hard Rock Cafe can fit that desire. If they are depending on a big percentage of repeat local customers, that could be a struggle.
Unfortunately for that situation, there are far fewer tourists on the north coast these days. The focus on the north coast is buidling condos and villas for expats and some snowbirds.

Expats and long stay snowbirds might go once to the HRC, but probably will get their burgers elsewhere from what I have seen of the prices and situation at an HRC.

The vast majority of tourists, those who stay less than a month, go to other parts of the DR due to the expensive and limited flights to Puerto Plata airport.

It should be remembered that this month alone 50+ cruise ships will dock in our two ports. I would not be surprised to see a tour which includes a visit to the Puerto Plata Hard Rock!
A tour including the Hard Rock Cafe in Sosua from a cruise ship seems just a tad unlikely, but then I never could predict the future.
A cruise tour to Sosua Beach once the new plazas are done in 10 years or so is much more the game that is afoot.

Regional manager: "Hey, so how did the grand opening go? Good sales?"

Store manager: "Pretty good! We sold a little over $2000 last night!"

Regional manager: "Wow, 2000 dollars!! That's great!!!"

Store manager: "No, pesos. Some big spender trying to impress a cute hooker"

Would like to go on record to state and predict that within a Year or so Hard Rock will have a Casino in SOSUA .
Yes Its a long shot guess , but its based on how they operate and their Real Strategy .. These people are very smart .
Very curious to see where this goes .

This can't go anywhere. First off the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in PC is NOT owned by Hard Rock. it is a franchise owned by Roberto Chapur a Mexican Hotel owner. And the Casino has been far from successful. And Hard Rock is owned by the Seminole Indians in Florida. In Florida their Casino has literally made Billions of Dollars. And they are opening a new hotel in Vegas. So to think they would even think about a Casino in Sosua it is just not possible. And I can tell you from personal experience that Mr. Chapur who owns the Casino in PC does not even know Sosua exists.........

I'm so glad you disagree with what I stated ..... I stand by what I said ... and gladly double down on it .

It will be such a Pleasure to prove you wrong , in your own Wheelhouse yet ..

btw, Who owns Sosua Bay Hotel right now ? Armand still own it , he is long retired from conducting any Business but who owns is ( more speculation .but I dont need your permission to speculate.
Wasnt that the Original Plan of that US Lawyer who tried to Take it over, and who got himself un alived .
"A Luxury Hotel with Gaming , overlooking Sosua Bay."
The Timing with the Beach Constuction is kind of coincidental as well.

but hey, you the expert .

You have TWO years if you want it. If a Hard Rock Casino is open in Sosua or even in Cabarate by June 10, 2027 I pay EVERY listed member on DR1 1,000 pesos. If NOT you pay EVERY listed member on DR1 1,000 pesos. All you have to do is say AGREE and I will save this as the terms of the agreement............

Look you seem like a nice guy so I will tell you there is absolutely NO chance on this happening at all. This is the business I am in and you will only be throwing money away. You already made a bad play before and this is much worse. Save your money............But if you insist the offer stands and we don't need to bother any Mods...........

It's Armando, not Armand and he hasn't owned that property since he was deported about 8 years ago. His wife owns it.

My sincerest Apologies , pour mon Petit Faux Pas
I stand corrected ..

Armand and Armando are variations of the same name with a common Germanic origin, meaning "army man" or "soldier".
Here's a breakdown of the differences:
  • Origin:
    • Armand is the French form of the name.
    • Armando is the Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese form.

Ah yes, The shining pearl of Sosua. Pedro C. reminds me of The Miricle Mile in Miami, Rodeo Dr and 5TH Ave all rolled into one.

We have a few Casinos here in Santiago.
I've only been into the Grand Victoria on Del Sol. It was mostly Italian, Russian and Chinese at the tables.
I don't see much of that demographic in Sosua nor do I see a Hard Rock Casino having any success in a town that size.
Not something I would bet on.

Good french accent...I can hear it vitrually. Nonetheless, Armando's wive took over the cooperation after he was deported. Not sure if he got a cent from it. He shouldn't have gotten caught with that young Dominican girl who laid charges on him for assault.
