On the subject of children born in the DR to USA nationals I have experience. My youngest daughter was born in Santo Domingo. She has resided in Montreal since she started High School. Her mother is Dominican but she was offered a job in Montreal. My daughter completed High School,Bachelors Degree,Masters Degree and now is attending Medical School in Montreal. She has been very careful to obey all USA tax laws as she hopes to practice Medicine in USA probably California. If she becomes a Canadian citizen maybe I will apply for Canadian citizenship as well.
