President Luis Abinader dedicated his 21 April press conference to share details on the advances of the 15 points the government is focusing on to curtail the flow of Haitian migration to the Dominican Republic. Foreign Minister Roberto Alvarez has said that while the government spends billions in protecting the border and deporting Haitians, the border is a revolving door, with Haitians being deported and promptly returning to the country.
