Velas Latinoamérica 2022, the Latin American tall ship tour/regatta is coming to the Dominican Republic. From 31 May to 4 June, tall ships from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Uruguay will be docking at the Terminal Don Diego right beside the Colonial City attractions of the capital city.

The ships to stop in Santo Domingo are “Libertad” from Argentina, “Cisne Branco” from Brazil, “20 de Julio” from Colombia, “Cuahtemoc” from Mexico, “Capitán Miranda” from Uruguay will be joining the crews of the “Almirante Juan Bautista Cambiaso,” the Dominican Armada tall ship.

In the Dominican Republic, the event coordinators for Velas Santo Domingo-Latinoamérica 2022 are the ministries of Defense, Culture and Tourism, and the city government of the National District.

Cool ships indeed. It's a shame Trujillos "Angela" couldn't come for the visit. I think it's the most luxurious of them all.
