I've got a friend in Poland at the moment, who is travelling through Europe.
He said he had never seen so many gorgeous women wearing white pleated mini-skirts.

Just for clarity, off topic posts are being deleted. Anything relating to US politics, etc. As far as the topic, these warnings come out all the time. Not really new.

w/o underwear?
You don't see many if any pleated skirts in DR.
Is that because women here want to accentuate their ample backsides?

Even India has the story about the uptick in crime in the DR:

And yet homicides are down, so there is a silver lining to all of this:

The loins share of Punta C is the blue-collar leaning Americans and Canadians. They will not be overly concerned. They rarely leave the resort or the swim up bar anyway.

The DR was classified level 3 not too long ago. I can't remember a time when it wasn't classified level 2. Maybe when Trujillo was in power(?).

Dont mind the Times of India, they are like the tabloids of the UK and their nickname is the TOIlet paper (Times of India = TOI). They have written this because (as it says in the article), this topic was in Google Trends. Most Indians (from India) wont be able to travel to the DR easily and is not a well known destination to Indians, except among TVS and Bajaj executives because they seem to have captured a decent market share of motos and 3 wheelers and expats who live in Europe and the US
