Interior and Police Minister Faride Raful declared the Dominican Republic is the safest country in the Caribbean and ranks among the top ten safest nations in Latin America according to citizen security indicators, when speaking on occasion of the formal start of a new Police patrol model.
Raful made the remarks emphasizing the nation’s commitment to maintaining its low crime rates through “humility, vocation, and unwavering dedication,” alongside robust training for new officers.
“Citizen security indicators consistently place the Dominican Republic as the safest country in the Caribbean and among the top ten safest in Latin America. We are committed to continuing this positive trajectory, focusing especially on the training and oversight of all personnel involved in public safety,” stated Minister Raful.
