NYC-SDQ BABY!
From what I was told a few months ago by someone I
know who lives up there, they started charging the girls
more money if they wanted to be released the same night
once arrested.

They are doing this for two different reasons. One,
they want to deter the girls from coming in for the weekend
from other towns/ cities to ply their trade and Two, its an
opportunity for the local PN to make more money because at
the end of the day... its just business.

So are they get arrested for loitering?

So I just don't get it. Kings, formally known as Rumba gets shut down along with all the other places that fateful night....and they get shut down because of the presence of prostitutes in their establishment. So what do they then go and do, set up in the old Morua Mai restaurant at the other end of Pedro Clisante directly in front of the main entrance to the beach AND directly in front of the only public park in Sosua, where there is a children's park....so the same type of clientele are now going to be in an area where there will be families sitting in the park area and as Sosua is promoting the town to be 'Family Friendly' families have a tendency to stay out a little later in the evening with their kids....and now they open up a weekend warrior bar/restaurant right there....how were they even permitted this to happen??? What a 'flustercluck'!!!

That's an excellent point and valid as well.

If Kings caters to the same mixed clientele as before, I suspect they'll shut him down again and again until the message sinks in. Unobjectionable establishments on west P.C. Meat markets and camarón sampling in the east end, for now. Weekend warriors are probably ok, but if they bring their dates or the girls start hanging around outside...

The PN and CESTUR no longer can be paid off.The girls spend the night in a concrete room with a bucket for latrine,no water or food and are released without charge or any record whatsoever. They take away their phones so they can't call for help or get someone to look after their kids.
They are even picking up non working girls in the scoop.
It's pretty barbaric and many CESTUR are female. You would expect a bit of sympathy from them for the poor girls and their kids but they can be worse.

The prostitutes will continue chasing the men who are
willing to pay for it no matter which side of PC they
"post up", this I don't see changing any time soon.

Wait, InSearchOfChicas still exists? I thought that thing died once JimmyDR supposedly got scammed big time by a chica in Sosua and he stopped coming to DR. Ok, back to the topic.

You could ask Polar Bear if he is still a mod there.

As long as they don't tolerate the cigar phonies and putas they will be fine. I think it is just the Chef of Rumbas and not the owner of Rumbas ? Does anyone know more.
Sosua needs sports bars- Flip Flops is nice but closes too early. Midtown OK but too small and no parking for blocks around. McFinns bombed (because the food and the service was bad)

Somewhere to watch UFC, American Football (college and pro), World Series, Boxing, the Olympics and heaven help us a 24" TV for soccer. Yeah it serves a need

Frankly speaking, you don't have to be on the N.C. The Gov/ Police enforce laws and non laws as they see fit.

Ray only wants to have a restaurant. It was never his intention to make Kings a ho hang out but obviously in that part of town they were bound to enter especially as more guys were eating his food.
He wants the new place to be a restaurant / sports bar. Would I ever do it? try again so close to the old spot? Not in a million years but he's a good guy, I wish him the best and I'll visit the spot when in town.

True.

This topic of prostitution is one where great deal of latitude is used by law enforcement. Most of it starts at the Attorney General of the DR. At one point in time, it was considered that arresting Johns would be done, but that never became practice. Yes, they actually considered this option and it was written up in DR newspapers quite a while ago. I think it was quickly squashed by discussions with DR "Johns" in the government. Other approaches have since been taken. One of those recently in Sosua.

That fence along the edge of the road by Sosua beach is going up fast.

Not for nothing why would anyone let their GF walk home at 1am from anywhere on this earth? Either you go pick her up or pay her taxi/ moto concho period.

I can see the place from my front gate. Boy, the judgement. I am sorry I mentioned it. I guess it is my fault.

I live in a place on this earth where it is safe for anyone to walk at 1am.
