Guayubín, Monte Cristi has the world’s largest aloe vera plantation.

Been to Monte Christi several times.. Its population is small where do they get the people to work with aloe vera

I'm always suspect of large monoculture farms no matter what the crop. It usually requires a great deal of inputs and not good for the environment.

Guayubin is 33 kilometers SE of Monte Cristi. Lots of folks live in the area.

The trailer containers looks like match box from the road that cuts though the plantation in El Posito, Guayubin during harvest season.
Water melon, pineapple and aloe vera in this area.

It is remarkably close to the HAITIAN border. Hmm, workers, Hmmn.. Where might they get workers?
Or they could all be Dominicans, which was all I saw in that video. Hmmm. Convenient staging for that video, or reality?

Lots of development on the way for Monte Christi. The times I have been there, it always conjured visions of Aruba.
