Wow, surprised.  I find duty free at PTY to be one of the most expensive ones-- but I don't buy liquor so that may be where it is actually less expensive.  Otherwise, super expensive for cosmetics and electronics.

I only buy liquor there. Never went in any other stores. Don't forget that Duty Free is One Liter bottles opposed to .75. And the prices last time I was there was better than Miami or Europe stores. And with an extra 10% you are even better.

When buying liquor Lupe, you'll be better off buying it in the city. You just have to hope it doesn't break in the luggage which happened one time my parents brought me a bottle of Jaegermeister.

Dont go on Sunday most of the stores are closed, Jewish store are open but they mostly offer jewerly, the price for Silver is very reasonable, and dont forget to take your passport, they will ask for it to go inside.

IIRC, it’s a bit cheaper in town, but you can’t beat the PTY Airport duty fee for convenience and helpful sales folk. 
 The whole airport seems like a giant mall.
