In the US we have title insurance required to cover the bank investment and it is optionally available to the Residential and Commercial Buyer.
We very often use Stewart Title Insurance.
The lawyers would have errors and omissions insurance for added protection of the buyers.

Does it exist in the DR...Yes......but their coverage is limited to certain areas.

Stewart Title has been writing policies for more than 20 years here.

When I bought my properties, I financed them through the bank and let them do all of the legal legwork before we closed the deal.
If it gets their approval, that's good enough for me.
Once that's done and the purchase is completed, I pay off the loan.
