to beat or not to beat

I didn't deserve my whippings with a leather belt from the people that should have loved me.

It ****ed me up and made me angry at everyone for over 60 years.

It was whipped untyil I was 16 and turned the belt on him, whipping him. It was tpo laste the damage had been done to me.

I never whipped my children - they felt my disapproval but it was short lived; the pain never lasted for days as it did with me

It is true that it could have been worse: my neighbor friend was whipped witjar a cat of 9 tails. He became a druggie; lot of good the whipping did.

Physical punishment is sound and good and needed (just read the Bible).....I deserved most if not all the "whippings" I received.......The downside is a kid will lie to avoid a whipping

Tom......Lets just agree to disagree....sometimes its easier to blame others for our shortcomings in life.....btw "whipping" and beating someone senseless are different IMHO....

It is very easy to discipline a child without violence or physical threat, and far more effective if you are a good, intelligent, patient and understanding parent.
