Where did I say that I hate it? I don't look at it thru pink colored glasses, but that doesn't mean that I hate it. I perfectly understand where I live and what this country is. I just don't have any urge to convince myself or others that DR is better than it really is. I understand perfectly that this forum is a kind of a group therapy for people who need to convince themselves and others that they live in paradise, not in a shIthole. I understand that. Sorry for swimming against the tide, I will not do it anymore.
It's like you can't help yourself. And I doubt you won't do it anymore.

They "look" at your card when you enter and yes two can enter on one card. However, I saw today they look a lot closer at the card at sales register. I'm going to Nagua tomorrow and wanted to buy a couple of bottles for those that I'm visiting: Stoli vodka 830, Brugal XV 533, Baily's 983.DOP.

JD, how does the cheese from Amazon work out being shipped? Does it arrive ok? I like their Havarti and Baby Swiss. They also have Extra Sharp Cheddar which I really like.
That's exactly what I ordered. First time. I don't expect any issues, there's nothing on the listing that says keep it refrigerated. I'll let you know.

So.. Ordered Saturday, shipped Sunday, arrived yesterday. Yummy!! dec 2024 best by date.

I bought slices and sticks. They shipped in a foil shopping bag and they're packed in vacuum packages.

When I was a kid, my father used to have big wheels of cheddar that he would sell by the pound. Never a worry about spoiling.

Sooo good!!!

Their delivery service is super cheap, it's about 250 pesos for same day delivery.

Their bath towels are very nice, the MS ones.

I don't recommend their electrical items, as has been said there's a much better selection in other stores. For electricals I would definitely buy online, stores like Corripio and Plaza Lama often have online only prices which are much lower than the stores (for Corripio they always have much higher prices in the store and you always have to ask them for the discounted price, which they then give you).
That's their "And what about my discount" answer. That's why it's always important to ask that every time you buy something. Any time, any where.

No harm in asking, right?

These days, when I'm buying something in a shop of any value, before I pay I always check online. Quite often the same store has an online price which is cheaper. Corripio and Plaza Lama do this all the time.

Please keep us updated on this, I was not aware that you could bring in cheese via a courier company here in the DR. If it works then that is great however the shipping cost may exceed the value of the cheese! In La Nacional there are some excellent imported cheeses.

Sorry, I just saw your last post. How much was the shipping per pound and which courier company do you use to ship it here to the DR?

I always use DOMEX. Their shipping always comes in at about 4 dollars a pound.

Another pricesmart question. I searched their website. Tried talking to their frustrating chat bot. Tried calling and Whatsapp only stupid bots and they want me to put my membership number and I don't have one until I get the answer to my question. I tried email and no answer. Can anyone with a membership find the answer for me? It says after you place your order there is a red light if they deliver to your area. I will join if they have delivery to my house. I live in Los Molinos, Villa Duarte, Santo Domingo Este. If anyone with a membership can find out if they deliver to my house please.

If you want to know what they have just look on their website and avoid even entering. You are welcome to enter with anyone who has a card.

As I previously mentioned, the crowds and parking have complicated PriceSmart. I will continue to shop for what I need but buy it online and just go pick it up at the store. No need to park and enter.
Agree shopping online & picking up is extremely convenient same with la sirena as well
