Today, Thursday, 04 January 2007, 3:30 pm Santo Domingo casa de cambio, I received 33.70 for my US $ check.

I got 33.5 at Melia Hotel 1-5-07. Good deal for a hotel when in comparison on 1-3-07 I got 29.6 at the airport.

I was talking about 3 days ago.

It seems most of the cambios in Sosua will quote you a low rate and you have to negotiate up. I'd like to find a place in Sosua where I could walk in and get a fair rate.

does anyone know who THEIR market is when they turn over those dollars back into pesos?

Rate was at banco santa cruz. You need to have an account there to get the better rates. Just ask what the best rate is. There are a few street changers that will match the best bank rate as well. PM me and I will tell you who.
