toll road

I have been told that there is a new toll road from the Boca Chica area to
Nagua. I will be traveling west from La Romana and want to take that road,
if in fact there is one., Does anyone know what the road is called, where I actaully get it and does it have a number? Also is there a map anywhere of it.? Thanks very much,

There is a thread somewhere on DR1 with a map, but not the one catcher posted! In the meantime, use map to get from La Romana to San Pedro (you bypass the north of San Pedro) then going straight on the Las Americas highway in the direction of the airport, Boca Chica and Santo Domingo. Just past Boca Chica and past the airport flyover on the left, there is a toll booth which is free. Drive through that, but keep to the right booth as just after you go through you need to turn right onto a side road that runs parallel to the highway. it is signpost Samana I think, but is only a little sign. Drive parallwl to the highway for a couple of miles past the Quality Inn and you will see the new highway on your right. You cannot miss it. Drive all the way up highway till the end and turn left to nagua, and bob's your uncle!!
