....The Blue Jays are absolutely fun to watch right now and I tune into every game. I have been to two so far- the exhibition game in Montreal at the end of spring training and those games were good. What an atmosphere at the Big O! and just recently at the Rogers Centre.

What a difference a good hitting coach makes with good hitters like Encarnaci?n, Bautista, Lind and Juan Francisco just to name a few. Juan Francisco has turned out to be a nice surprise pick up and a power bat. He really enhances an already potent line up.

I think the Jays will be in the race as long as they stay healthy and perhaps enhance the rotation. They still need a middle of the rotation starter if they are going be in the race in September but for now especially during this winning streak it has been all about the starting pitching which is complimented by the strong starting line up (especially 1 through 6). If Tampa Bay and Boston keep playing poorly, it will be hard for those teams to recover. No matter how good they have been in the past, it's hard to make up ground if a team falls behind 10 games and more in the division.

In the meantime, I just hope the Jays keep winning series and create more distance from the other teams in that traditionally tough American League East.

The Dominican players are a treat to watch- aka the Dominican Jays.

I know the feeling, Red Sox were fun to watch last year,

Everything seemed to go their way, and they ended up winning the World Series.....

They s-uck NOW, but the A L east is tight, so ya never know

Thanks for the good wishes.

I totally agree with what you have said. It's fun to watch a team have fun and the Jays are having a ball right now. They need to just keep doing what they are doing because it's a winning formula. However, as you said, it's a long way to the finish line and who knows where any of these teams will end up.

Cheers,

The Toronto Blue Jays extended their winning streak to nine games in dramatic fashion Wednesday night with a 3-2 walk-off victory over the Tampa Bay Rays at Rogers Centre.

With pinch-runner Kevin Pillar aboard after Dioner Navarro opened the bottom of the ninth with a single, Anthony Gose dropped a nice bunt down the first-base line. Reliever Juan Carlos Oviedo (1-1) threw wide to first and Pillar came all the way around to score the winning run.

Blue Jays blew it the bottom of the ninth on an error. Lose in extra innings looks like. Heartbreaker.

The Blue Jays are my team but I also like the Tigers. I do not know if the Jays will spank them as you say. Their pitching is probably the best in baseball. In my opinion, their weak link is Drew Smyly and he pitched last night so we won't see him. We will face S?nchez in the opener and most likely Porcello and Scherzer. It's not going to be a walk in the park. However, I think our lineup right now is better than theirs even with Cabrera and Mart?nez, the best 1-2 combination in baseball.

This could be the best series yet this year for the Jays and a good test for them since they have come off a stellar month of May led by Encarnaci?n. Anytime I get to see Miguel Cabrera play is a good baseball day for me. In my opinion, he is the best player in MLB right now. There will be a lot of good hitters in this series- Bautista and Encarnaci?n vs. Cabrera and Mart?nez. Bring out the bats!
