Tourism Minister David Collado announced that in January alone, 742,229 non-resident foreigners arrived in the Dominican Republic, 144,000 more than in January 2023, for a growth of 10%.
“We focused our efforts on the United States, which has a 39% share, for a 20% growth,” he said.
The arrival of visitors by sea in January 2024 reached 321,754, 17% more than in 2023, when cruise ships docked in Dominican ports transported 273,845 visitors.
