First, do you have any idea how many have been?
How many kids/elderlies/women must be killed by the banana idiots before the Government bans all motor boats in public beach areas ...
So, legally these crazy boats are allowed to move on people`s heads in all areas without any restrictions at all? A dangerous situation because of banana ride boats can be observed at any beach practically each day...
It is difficult to believe in such a irresponsibility of Sosua authorities and Politur.
Does anyone have any information to the contrary?
I've come MUCH closer to being hit by kite and sail boarders in Cabarete than by the bannana boats in Sosua. The first time I went into the water in Cabarete a guy swam out beside me and told me asked if it was the first time I had been in the water there. When I said it was, he told me to keep my head up all the time as the boarders came in an out constantly at high velocity and would never see me. I did and enjoyed the swim but kept busy keeping out of the way at the same time. Still better swimming in Sosua any time though.
Lambada,
I can understand motovehicles being a problem, but HORSES??? :cheeky:
We go to that beach very often and i like to swim father out in the ocean keeping my eyes on the banana boats rushing past. The boat past 2-3 meters from my head when i was actually close to the beach like 5 meters and it looked safer far away. I see the same all over again! Today there were actually no banana boats, maybe the diplomat made them stopYesterday (Sunday) a small child was almost killed by a banana ride boat on Casa Marina (Playa Alicia) beach near Waterfront Restaurant. Just TWO METERS into the water.
