Santo Domingo.- Deputy Tobias Crespo submitted this Tuesday a draft amendment to law 63-17 of mobility, land transport, transit and road safety, to achieve a significant reduction in the costs of transit fines.
The project seeks to lower the payment of fines to 25 percent of the minimum wage, which was recently taken to 10 thousand pesos by President Danilo Medina.
The member clarified that today no one has paid a fine according to the provisions of law 63-17, because for these purposes the National Institute of transit and land transport (Intrant) has not yet created the regulation, which means that They are paying are those who contemplated old legislation.
