I have not done so but as a regular Uber user, I would recommend inputting your choice, checking the price, then abort. I would think that you could take an Uber anywhere in the country.
I would suggest a taxi, for more reliable service. For longer trips, drivers might request that you put it in cash. Remember, the drivers do not know where they are going until they arrive. A driver would most likely not want to drive to Punta Cana. The cost is around 4000 to 5000 pesos. When I have to re-route my flight to PUJ and have to get to santo domingo I usually get a taxi for about the same price.
Most uber drivers will cancel on you as soon as they see that you want to go to punta cana, the rate is really low and to be honest I dont blame the guy unless you want to make a deal and give him a nice tip up front , most uber drivers aint taking that trip
Thats correct, and Uber from Santo Domingo will never take you more far away than Boca Chica, they do not want to come back empty seats as the fares has very good prices. By the Way I used Uber in Mexico City and the rates also are cheaper than a normal taxi, Normal taxi was charging us 170.00 MX pesos we did by Uber for 41.00 MX pesos.
